Current product imagery focuses specifically on oily and greasy spots, while the manufacturer also lists dirt and food stains among the intended stain categories.

Not Every Stain Type

Manufacturer technical data says it is not designed for water- or acid-based stains.

SPRAY FIRST • POWDER AFTER

The Finish Is Different From a Normal Wet Cleaner.

PSR is a powdered dry-cleaning fluid. After application, the treated area is allowed to dry thoroughly until white absorbent powder forms; that powder is then removed from the fabric.

01
Solvent Application

Aerosol delivery applies the cleaning product over the stain.

02
Allow It to Dry

Manufacturer directions require the treatment to dry thoroughly.

03
White Powder Forms

The absorbent powder is part of the intended cleaning process.

04
Remove the Powder

Manufacturer TDS says brush it away or remove it with compressed air.

FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURER DIRECTIONS

Test. Spray. Dry. Remove the Powder.

The steps below follow AlbaChem's technical data sheet for PSR No.1062 rather than the conflicting simplified instructions printed inside the current Valorsca promotional image.

Current Valorsca instructional image for AlbaChem PSR
1

Shake Well

Shake the aerosol can well before application.

2

Test First

Test a hidden area for colorfastness before treating the stain.

3

Spray Upright

Hold the can upright about 8–10 inches from the stained surface.

4

Let It Dry

Wait until the treatment dries thoroughly and white powder forms.

5

Brush Away

Brush off the powder or remove it with suitable compressed air. Repeat if necessary.

Important instruction conflict: The current Valorsca graphic says “hold 6–8 inches” and “blot or wipe.” AlbaChem's technical data sheet for No.1062 instead says approximately 8–10 inches, allow a white powder to form, then brush or blow the powder off. Manufacturer instructions should take priority.

Clothing: AlbaChem specifically instructs users not to treat clothing while it is being worn.
FABRIC-CARE APPLICATIONS

From Clothing to Fabric Upholstery.

Current product imagery shows apparel, upholstery, carpet and fabric vehicle interiors, while AlbaChem positions PSR for professional apparel, textile, dry-cleaning and upholstery use.

Manufacturer fabric claim: AlbaChem currently states the product is suitable for fabrics including acetates, but its own technical instructions still require a hidden-area colorfastness test before stain treatment.

Other surfaces: Do not infer leather, suede, vinyl, plastic, painted trim or other non-fabric compatibility from the automotive-interior image.
PROFESSIONAL SPOTTING CHEMISTRY

A Specialist Fabric Product — Not a Casual All-Purpose Household Spray.

AlbaChem positions PSR for apparel manufacturers, textile mills, dry cleaners, embroiderers and upholsterers. Its aerosol chemistry also means ventilation, fire prevention and label compliance matter during every use.

AEROSOL SAFETY MATTERS

Treat It Like Flammable Solvent Chemistry.

This is not a water-based everyday spray. Current AlbaChem safety documentation classifies PSR as an extremely flammable pressurized aerosol with inhalation, skin and aspiration hazards.

DANGER — Follow the supplied label and SDS.

Keep away from heat, hot surfaces, sparks, open flames and other ignition sources. Do not smoke while using the product and never spray toward an open flame.

Avoid breathing the aerosol. Use only outdoors or in a well-ventilated area. The current SDS states that exposure may cause drowsiness or dizziness.

The container is pressurized. Do not pierce or burn it, even after use, and do not expose it to temperatures above 122°F / 50°C.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not swallow. The current SDS identifies an aspiration hazard and states that swallowing followed by entry into the airways may be fatal.

Wash hands after handling and follow the protective-glove and first-aid directions on the current manufacturer SDS.

State-sale restriction: AlbaChem's latest SDS revision currently states that PSR No.1062 is not for distribution or sale in California or Connecticut. Do not offer shipping into those states unless you have newer manufacturer documentation establishing otherwise.

Storage: Protect from sunlight and store in a well-ventilated location according to the manufacturer's label and SDS.
QUICK ANSWERS

Frequently Asked Questions.

What product is actually shown in the current images?
The current Valorsca gallery clearly shows AlbaChem® PSR Professional Spot Remover, product No.1062.
Is it really SpotX Pro™?
The storefront title says SpotX Pro™, but the current product packaging in every main gallery image is visibly branded AlbaChem® PSR. Those identities should not be treated as interchangeable without authorization and accurate packaging.
What stains is PSR intended to remove?
AlbaChem currently lists grease, oil, dirt and food stains.
Does it work on every type of stain?
No. Manufacturer technical information specifically states that PSR is not designed for water- or acid-based stains.
Do I wipe it away while it is wet?
The manufacturer's technical instructions say to allow the treatment to dry thoroughly until white powder forms, then brush the powder away or remove it with compressed air.
Why does the Valorsca image say blot or wipe?
That current promotional image conflicts with AlbaChem's technical data sheet for No.1062. Manufacturer use instructions should take priority.
How far from the fabric should I spray?
AlbaChem's technical data sheet currently says to hold the can upright approximately 8–10 inches from the stained surface.
Should I test the fabric first?
Yes. The manufacturer specifically instructs users to test a hidden area for colorfastness before treating a stain.
Can I spray clothing while I am wearing it?
No. AlbaChem's technical instructions specifically say not to treat clothing while it is being worn.
Can it be used on upholstery?
Upholstery is a manufacturer-listed application. Test a hidden section first and verify the upholstery's own care requirements.
Can it be used on carpet?
Carpet appears in the current product imagery. Spot-test first and follow both the product instructions and the carpet manufacturer's care guidance.
Can I use it on leather or vinyl car seats?
Leather and vinyl compatibility is not established by the current listing. The product is positioned primarily for fabrics and textiles.
Does it contain acetone?
AlbaChem's current technical information states that PSR does not contain acetone.
Is it water based?
No. Current manufacturer documentation identifies the chemistry as a hydrocarbon/acetal aerosol system, not a conventional water-based cleaner.
Is it flammable?
Yes. The current manufacturer SDS classifies PSR as an extremely flammable Category 1 aerosol.
Is it safe to spray near a heater, stove or cigarette?
No. Keep it away from heat, sparks, open flames, smoking and other ignition sources.
Is it safe for children or pets?
It should not be marketed as a child-safe or pet-safe household spray. The manufacturer SDS instructs users to keep it out of reach of children and identifies significant aerosol and ingestion hazards.
What size can will I receive?
This must be verified before sale. Current Valorsca artwork says 15.5 oz / 439 g, while AlbaChem's current product and technical documentation identifies No.1062 as 12.5 oz / 354 g.
Can it be sold in California or Connecticut?
AlbaChem's latest available SDS states that the product is not for distribution or sale in California or Connecticut.
