Replacing a 1222 Cartridge?
Choose the brass-core aftermarket replacement cartridge for compatible 1222 Posi-Temp valves.
This replacement does not fit 1200 or 1225 valve models.
Removal Tool + Replacement Cartridge.
The combined kit includes the T-handle puller, Allen wrench and a 1222-compatible replacement cartridge.
Prepare First. Pull Second.
Turn off the supply, release pressure, remove the handle and trim, then remove the retaining clip.
Align the tool tabs between the cartridge ears and secure the drive screw using the Allen wrench.
Follow the indicated TWIST direction. Once loosened, pull the cartridge straight out.

Will this work with every shower?
No. The puller is designed for compatible Moen 1200, 1222 and 1225 single-handle cartridges. Check your valve model first.
Does the replacement fit 1200 or 1225?
No. The replacement cartridge is for compatible 1222 Posi-Temp valves only.
Does the puller alone fix a leak?
No. The puller is a removal tool. A worn cartridge may need replacing, and other causes of leakage may require further diagnosis.
Is this an original Moen product?
No. This is an aftermarket product. Brand and model names indicate compatibility only.
